When you use the phone line
We process your calling number, service activity, and account or minute balance to provide access and connect conversations. Greetings you record and voice messages you send are stored so other callers or the intended recipient can hear them.
A greeting is an introduction for people browsing the service. Leave out information you do not want them to know. The system hides your number from other callers; that does not mean the operator or its phone providers have no record of the call.
When you buy time or ask for help
Purchases create payment and transaction records used to complete the order, allocate minutes, and resolve billing questions. Payment providers receive the details needed to process your purchase. We also keep the information you include in support emails and our replies to handle your enquiry.
When you visit the website
Website systems may collect technical records such as IP addresses, browser details, and pages requested. These records help deliver the site, identify faults, and investigate misuse.
[Website tools disclosure: identify the cookies, analytics or advertising technologies actually used, their purposes, and the available consent and opt-out controls. Confirm if none are used.]
Who else may receive information?
Phone-platform providers receive relevant call and audio records; payment providers receive purchase information; hosting and support providers receive the website or enquiry records needed for their work. We limit these disclosures to the relevant purpose and require appropriate handling of personal information.
Other disclosures may occur with your permission, in response to valid legal requirements, to address fraud or serious safety concerns, or during a business transfer subject to applicable privacy protections.
How long records remain
Retention depends on the record’s purpose, the status of your account, unresolved payments or complaints, and legal obligations. Information is deleted or de-identified when it is no longer needed. Reasonable safeguards and access restrictions help protect records, but no system is risk-free.
Requests and choices
Email contact-us@houstonphonechat.com to request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy. Where applicable law provides them, you may also exercise rights to opt out of data sales, targeted advertising, or certain profiling.
We may verify your identity and explain any lawful reason for retaining information or declining a request. To appeal, contact us through the same channel and state that you are appealing a privacy decision. We respond within applicable deadlines and do not discriminate against you for exercising protected rights. You may also complain to the relevant privacy authority, including the Texas Attorney General.
Underage use and future changes
